Akron Zoo

My Fiance and I do not want to hold our wedding ceremony in a church, we are not very religious. Has anyone had thier wedding ceremony at the Akron Zoo? How did that work out? Where did you have the reception after? Thanks!

    I intern part time at the Akron Zoo...They have a really beautiful garden that would be awesome for a late afternoon/evening ceremony.  They hold receptions at the zoo, but there is a reception hall nearly right around the corner called St. Joseph's Family Center.  I went to a reception there once, but it was about 10 years ago.  From what I remember, it was a nice, new place, but just a typical reception hall.  I'm sure if you call/e-mail the zoo, they would have a ton of information for you. Hope this helps!
