what makes a wedding a luxury wedding?

I've been lurking a bit and I'm curious, what makes your wedding luxurious? Obviously we're all from different geographic regions so there will be many reasons, but I'm just curious - or maybe a little nosey - on what makes your wedding luxurious for your area?

    Good question! I was thinking the same thing..I think what makes a wedding luxurious if it exceeds your normal tastes or what your used to. While mine doesnt involve a lot of money..I feel like its getting very luxurious for my tastes and less the humble budget gathering I thought it would be. Here are a couple of reasons why:

    1. We are having live entertainment: Either bouzouki players, a lyra player, or a greek singer.

    2. We have traditional dancers (either going to be hired or his cousins)

    3. We are looking at around $40 a plate per person at the reception, where his parents want us to have filet mignon.

    4.Its in greece.

    5. We are having a reception and then a wedding celebration back in the states as well.

    6. I am debating on having this mini- train carry people from church to venue or having donkey carts. (Wierd, I know)

    7. We are looking at 200 guests (more if his mom gets pushy on wants 2nd/3rd cousins coming).
