B&M being at work when there are a million wedding things I would rather be doing.
I gotta figure out a veil/ hairpiece situation before Friday for my bridal pics. I still have no idea what I'm going to do.

I don't think FMIL is coming to my bridal shower. A little bummed but I guess I understand. (She'd have to come from out of state and travel by herself)

Carrie- do you already know the style you want? if not you could look up pics while at work! lol

Ash - The problem is my dress has sleeves over my shoulders, and an open keyhole in the back, and a long veil covers up the keyhole, and a birdcage or blusher makes everything look so busy because of my sleeves. I will probably just end up going with a simple hairpiece but it feels WEIRD to not have a veil.

a veil may still work since you'll only have it on for the ceremony and you can take some bridal portraits without it. but you know what looks best with your dress! i'm sure the pics will come out great no matter which you choose

Carrie, what about a very simple amd sheer one-layer veil? I don't think it would detract from your dress at all.

ETA: I am exhausted today. My eyes just keep closing and I'm tempted to call in sick. I've not been myself lately. I spent most of the night crying about stupid stuff that shouldn't lead anyone to tears. Blah.

AMY what is wrong??? Just general 'needed a good stress-cry'???

RE Veil - Becky was none too happy when I mentioned maybe going without a veil. She made me try on every veil she had in her room (it was so sweet). Going through all those veils though almost made me realize even more how much I didn't see myself wearing one.
Maybe I will discuss with my mother. She knows best.

And I just realized I'm not working a 5 day work week until July 30. So much awesomeness.

I'm in our Dallas office today, by myself.

Which is good that I don't have to listen to people babble, but not so good when I'm getting up at 5:50 AM.

Also, my Dr. put me on some new BC and the side effects are pretty terrible...I don't know that I'll finish the sample pack....

Maybe I'm overreacting but one of my staff continuously uses "girls" when e-mailing me and another senior. "Hey girls", "Let me know what you girls need" It's really annoying me today.

My B&M is that Austin knows how much I hate it and responds accordingly. I got rear-ended yesterday. I took a wrong turn, slowed to a stop at a yield sign, and the guy behind me apparently thought we were good to go and just rammed into me.

And he didn't have a license (he swears it was at home).
And he didn't have current insurance (expired in January).
And Austin Police wouldn't send out an officer to file a report.

The good news is my car is really not that banged up. I'm going to need a new bumper and a new tailpipe. And I'm fine. Just mad.

But my MOH got engaged!!! And I'm so happy for her!!!

He had all the paperwork, and even tried to call them, it just said it was expired as of January. I'm hoping he just had the wrong form, you know?

Ugh, Amanda, I am sorry to hear that.

So my Droid is acting up and shutting off sporadically. DH and I went to AT&T yesterday, with the intent to merge me onto his plan and get me an iPhone since I have no contract right now. I was very hesitant because I have a love affair with TMobile, and don't really want an iPhone, but we figured having a family plan would be the best way to go. Boy, were we wrong. So after they drew up the cost to add me on, give me as comparable as they can to my unlimited everything with T-Mobile (which was not unlimited AT ALL), we would end up paying more a month for way less than what T-Mobile gives me.

The thing that irritates me is that they have him on an unlimited data plan which he was grandfathered into, but for adding a line the best they can offer me is 5G of data per month for $50. I get unlimited for $40 with T-Mobile, and they couldn't even try to come up with a similar plan to coerce me to switch. Poor business practice if you ask me.

Oh, yeah. AT&T has really shot themselves in the foot with their data plans. H and I were each on grandfathered unlimited data plans, but when we asked about merging our accounts into one (he would be added to mine and dropped from his parents' plan), they said we would lose our "grandfather" status.

Okay.... guess we'll go look around.

We switched to Sprint, despite my reservations, but we've been really happy with it. Unlimited everything and a really good price for a family plan.

I am still on my Mom's plan and was grandfathered in, H was grandfathered in on his own.

I guess that answers my question about whether or not they would let me keep my unlimited status. Boo.

Ugh, Yesterday H's Mom was like "When you have kids...later...no rush or anything."

I kind of wanted to tell her to STFU about when I'm having a baby since..you know...I'm the one that has to carry it and all that.

Yeah, I pretty much wanted to say this but the guy at the store was so sweet and trying his darndest. He did tell me to come back and he'll see what discounts he can take off my Uverse account for me, though. I guess I win somewhere...

So I am a dummy, and decided we need to host a BBQ at the house Saturday night, not realizing I get to be at work at 7am Sunday for a buyout. I can't cancel plans this late in the game, though, so I may be pulling an all-nighter to entertain then work.

I'm still on my parents plan with Verizon and we were grandfathered in as Verizon isn't doing unlimited data anymore either. I pay $40/month + taxes for my line and unlimited data. Holla. I won't be getting off my parents' plan anytime soon.

No, I've been super depressed lately. Like the kind where I have a short fuse and completely, totally lose it over the smallest things. Then I proceed to feel like crap. It's a really miserable cycle to be in.

Feel ya Amy I go through that every once in a while. Maybe it's because the wedding is over and it's slowed down for you on that end. I know your working alot and that can't help. No BM here. I don't have to work any 13 hour days this week only a half day on my day off. I will take it!

J and I survived the car ride that wouldn't end soon enough and have now slept through half of our anniversary after being awake for 36 hours. This cake better be the shizzz.
On the other side of things, my sister is hitched!!! She was a gorgeous bride...pics will be on fb soon (along with 1700 of my own since I finally have a day off to do it!).

Thanks! Sadly, our top tier was tres leches and was disgusting. On the bright side, we were happy to find a card under our cake from The Cake Guys with an offer for us to send in our pro pics of the cake to them and we will get a free 9" double layer cake. That will definitely be key lime!!!

I'm late to the game but I've been sick and pathetic all day. I have strep throat AGAIN after only having it about a month ago. On Friday, I went to lunch with FI and some of his co-workers. He joked that I would get strep from one of the girls because she had had it (but had been on antibiotics for at least 48 hours, so technically she shouldn't have been contagious). Welp, of course, I got it. Probably because my immune system hates me.

Carrie, if you see this, I think a simple birdcage would still look good with your dress. Did you have the flowery things removed on that one side? Maybe you could find a fascinator with a removable birdcage, that way you could do some with and some without it?

Also, FWIW, I was added to FI's AT&T plan and while he was "grandfathered" in with the unlimited data, I wasn't. There was only 1 month where I even came close to the limit (I have been on it for a year and a half), and that was because I had turned my wi-fi off and forgotten to turn it back on. I use my phone a TON and that month they sent me a text saying I had used 60% of my allotment (but I never actually went over).
