Wedding Planner Organizer Thingy

Hello ladies!!

Just like many of you, I am recently engaged!! He asked me on Saturday and he did a fabulous job!

I want to be sure that I am organized with my wedding planning since I live in Indiana and he lives in California. The wedding will be out there in about a year and I am starting my hunt for a good wedding planner book that will help me stay organized! Any recommedations?

Thanks in advance!

I just made my own with a three ring binder, some page tabs, paper, and pocket folders. To me, this is something I actually use to write notes in, keep ideas in, store copies of signed contracts - it's my go to book. It has to be more functional than visually appealing. And I don't see it as something that will necessarily be sticking around after the wedding. It's a workbook, not an end product.

    But that's just my view.

    And, I'm on a budget.

I was given the Target Club Wed wedding planner and I like it a lot. I'm a big fan of weddingwire for online planning organization. Weddingwire also has an iphone app.

JC Penny will give you a free organizer with lots of tips and planning stuff.  I think you have to register for 15 items, take it to the customer service desk, and they'll just give it to you.

Repeat this to your self: My Wedding Party is made of my family and friends and I should treat them as such.

I went to the store today and got "The Bride's Essential Wedding Planner Deluxe Edition" by Amy Nebens. It is a big 3 ring binder type thing. But I really like it. I went to Barnes and Noble today and sat my butt on the floor and flipped through several until I found one I really liked. It is easy to read and find things. It has tons of tip, suggestions, tricks, netiquette and such but mostly useful info and no so much superfluous stuff. Hope that helps!! Good luck!

They have great, easy-to-use, FREE templates.  I've built my wedding binder around them!
