Tea ceremony dress

For the tea ceremony, is it ok to wear a red western gown instead of a cheongsam or qipao?

i think that is acceptable nowadays. but your western dress doesnt have to be red, it can be your regular ceremony dress if you desired. but any dress is acceptable. but i think you change into another dress when you go to your reception

I've been to many tea ceremonies where brides just wore their western, white wedding dress so it doesn't have to be red (unless you want it to be)!

I was a bridesmaid and my friend just wore her white wedding gown as well :)
I think it's totally fine as long as the parents/grandparents are fine w it
Our wedding day also marks our 11th anniversary of being together :)
