Flats-the shoes

Comfy/dressy ones. Have suggestions? Brand? Style?

Re: Flats-the shoes

  • I have these: http://www.drschollsshoes.com/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?p=EC1203807&pg=5072274 and I love them.  They're super comfy and I get tons of compliments on them.  The only thing is they rubbed on the back of my heels a little bit, but heel pads solved that problem beautifully.

  • I live in Target and Payless flats. I actually have a pair of Target ballet flats that I bought 6 years ago and they are still my favorite shoes.
  • Sometimes I buy cheap ones and put dr. scholls in them. My most comfy ones are from LL Bean and are cute for winter. Naturalizer also makes amazingly comfy ones.

[QUOTE]Do you guys ever get blisters? I wore flats today. At first they were comfy but they started rubbing around the Achilles area. Now I have this bloody blister on my left Achilles.

I have one of those from a pair of new ones. Until they break in, I need to wear a blister bandaid.

  • Ricks: I absolutely love that you just gave me shoe advice on E and I gave you shoe advice here.  Haha. But for real get those shoes! They are Dr Scholls brand and super comfy!

  • My secret for getting rid of blister causing heels is to step on the heel for about 5 minutes so it smushes it down. It's probably not good for the shoe, but it breaks down the back just enough that I don't get blisters.

  • I just got a cute pair at Target. Black kinda suede-y, with a bow on the tow. Love them.

I have these two!! I adore them.  I got them in silver and then another pair in hot pink at DSW.
  • Flats always give me blisters while my high heels do not.....go figure.  I love shopping DSW for comfy flats.  Try some steve maddens (though I feel like they run a half size small).  One type of flats I really don't reccomend is J crew.  I love love love their shoes for style but they ballet flats are painful and never fit right.  Don't buy them.
  • Sam & Libby never came in my size. Ang, they'd probably be in yours! But do they still make them???

    Can you do platform "heels?"

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • I have a couple pairs of Coach ballet flats that I love because they LAST. No kidding. I have one pair that I've had for 4 years and they are still in great condition.

I also buy a lot of my flats from Payless because they are what I wear to work so I like to have a lot of different colors/styles and they're cheap! BOGO :)

I love Coach and Juicy flats as well!  They last awhile and I love the support built into both.  Our payless around here is creepy.  Its always dirty and half the lights are out and it scares me.  I don't shop there because I'm afraid I'll never come out again.
  • Steve Madden.
I've decided all Steve Maddens are comfry. Even the 5 in. heels. But seriously, I inherited a pair of SM flats and theyre sooo comfy.
  • I have about 50 (no joke) pairs of payless flats.  I love having a lot of different colors and styles to choose from.

  • ROCKET DOGS!! Most comfortable flats ever. They don't last too long, but they're pretty inexpensive from DSW.
