  Not sure what kind of contract was involved, but mine says that if the videographer cancels, they have to provide you with another one.  Usually videographers know others in the business so the least that your videographer can do is recommend another.
  
  My videographer is Motoko from Love in Progress, but she is $2800.

  Hey Cheryl,  I used Daniel Lee Video.  He is definitely in that price range, and I love the way my video came out!

  I was about to rec Daniel Lee also.  He isn't my videographer, but I remember that he was within a reasonable price range.
