    Yep. Pretty much.

    Yeah.  This.

I'm sorry, but the idea of someone having sex with an animal is deeply disturbing to me.  I'm not going to sit around and debate whether or not the person having sex with the animal (or CONSIDERING) having sex with the animal, is a victim.  That's the same thing as debating if the person who rapes a child is a victim.  Right now, they are the criminal, and they are abusing the victim.  Getting the victim to safety needs to be the top priority, before you hem and haw and wonder if you might be wrong about the perpetrator or if the perpetrator is a victim him/herself.

  • DO not google it at work, nates. I think people made that mistake the last time it came up.

  • I agree with Rach- there is no gray zone when it comes to having a marriage or sexual relationship with an animal.  It's just plain WRONG. End of story.

In Response to Re: Strange and cryptic question (sorry for the AE) : Because I don't see the world as black and white, with one response being correct in every situation, for every person, every time.  That's why StephBean's description of my worldview is incorrect.  I won't go any further than that. I offered up a personal example to illustrate a viewpoint I was expressing.  I'm upset that this has led to people making negative assumptions about me and my family.  I'm also upset people have hurled curses and insults at me, as if I was rooting for her cousin to rape the dog.  I try to be measured in my responses, but some folks really just let their emotions run wild.

I don't see the world as black and white either. But if we are going by YOUR statement of its best to err on the side of caution, that would mean ALWAYS reporting something ridiculous like this. Which I see no problem in. Arguing with you is basically a moot point. OP said she was calling her cousin. You aren't making any friends here, so I suggest you step away.
  • Y'all calling this chick LadyO in a thread about potential bestiality is cracking me and my inner 12 year-old child up.

Ranch, how disturbing. I don't know how I'd react if someone said that while holding Whisky. I'd have a hard time letting them live it down.
  • I am failing to see what is not black & white about sex with a dog being wrong. I guess first base is just a gray area? YEAH FUCKK THAT.

Ladyo, While I don't think you are rooting for the rape of a dog I think you are EXTREMELY lax about the possibility of it happening and I think that is what is pissing everyone off. Everyone is HOPING this isn't true, but if it is, (and she has reason to believe it is) it needs to get reported. Bottom line.

Thanks :) I figured, but now I know to google at home and probably with the blinds closed ;)

I think the whole argument that ZOMG the authorities aren't as powerful as you think they are!!!!!!! is idiotic. Yes, many of the offices are strapped for cash and supplies. Yes, things don't always get investigated in the manner they should. But STILL these are the exact people you should go to when you think a crime might be being committed. You don't wait and see, you call and let them investigate. If they do nothing, and you have further information, you call again.

The things I would say to LadyO and the Hellebor whatever would get me banned.nbsp; Like right quick banned. Not sure which one of the afforementioned posters was asked by StephBean and hasn't answered, but I really want to know. What would you do if your cousin said, "My sister is getting married to a 10 year old boy."nbsp; That is the exact same sentence that OP's cousin said about her sister I might be wrong on family members.nbsp; I would say something to authorities.nbsp; And I would certainly say something about this too.OP, I really want an update. Posted by crfb87
It was Helleb, and she hasn't returned to answer. LadyO told us about her brother, which seemed to be her justification for telling OP not to report, but then said she agrees OP should "err on the side of caution," so I have no idea what she's trying to say now.

I'm pretty sure if I worked in animal control or a police department and somebody called and reported a woman wanting to marry her hound dog and possibly, even remotely consumate the "relationship", I would take a little due diligence and figure out what was up.

Agreed. Is it really that difficult to investigate?

I don't believe for a minute this is a real post and I can't believe everyone is buying into it.  The OP is probably getting a good laugh.

  • Nates - Mr. Hands is a video of a guy having sex with a horse (donkey? I can't remember). And IIRC, he died of severe internal bleeding/ruptures afterward. I don't even know if it's still on the net, is it? I never watched it, but that's the description I've heard.

I've also never seen 2 girls, 1 cup, but that's neither here nor there.

    WTF?!?!
  • Yes, sex with a horse, and filmed it. He died a few hours later, but apparently he did this quite a few times. The person who taped it went to jail, and there was a third guy who they could not convict.
  • I would not recommend watching 2 Girls 1 Cup.  But I would recommend watching videos people took of themselves as they watched it.  Now, that's some funny shiiit (...err... too much?)

    The guy died.

And I will never understand the fascination with stuff like this (watching videos of grotesque stuff). Is it a guy thing?  I know on Tosh.0 he plays videos like this, such as the world's largest zit being popped, and I just can't imagine getting any joy out of seeing that. And the people who pay to see donkey shows in Mexico? Yeah, there's a special place in Hell for them, fo sho.

  • That's terrifying. I will not be watching that video. Uuugh.

  • Of couse there is still cause for concern!!! She could be very good at lieing. And even if she's not having sex with the dog, that doesn't mean she won't start! She's obviously got something wrong in her head, and she needs help. This kind of thing doesn't go away on it's own.
  • I think it's good that you spoke to her, but it's still a concerning situation for the cousin. If she thinks it's okay to enter into a marriage with a dog, I'd still be concerned for her mental state.

Also, I would do as others suggested and talk it out with the rest of the family.
  • In Response to Re: Strange and cryptic question (sorry for the AE):
OK I spoke with my cousin and I've been sitting here thinking about this for a few minutes. She says that yes she is indeed marrying a dog. It was a really strange conversation to say the least. She went on about how much she loves the dog and that the dog loves her. Apparently she understands what he wants and needs and vice versa he basically talks to her without her hearing voices. So she's not crazy in the sense where she hears voices which I think is a little ray of light in on this whole debacle. I asked her about the nature of their relationship and she hesitated as though she thought I would judge her. That's a good thing if she knows what she's doing isn't socially acceptable right? She said that they love to cuddle and kiss. I asked if they were planning on consummating the marriage after the wedding and she said that she didn't plan on doing that and acted as if I was sick for asking. Of course this is all paraphrased and not exact words but you get the jest of the conversation. I believe her that she's not currently and not planning on having sex with the dog. Do you think I should just leave it at that or would you still have concern? She sounded very sincere and honest throughout the conversation. Edit - and when I say concern I mean enough to still call the authorities or should I just try and get her mental help?

While this gives me some hope for humanity, I still think I'd alert the authorities.

I mentioned her a few weeks ago that a priest who used to work at my church was just arrested on child pornography charges.  When he was here, it was a constant joke that "Fr. D hates kids."  He didn't visit the school, didn't talk to the altar servers, couldn't handle conversation with children, etc.  He was the LAST person that any of us could imagine having inappropriate fantasies about children.  But the hard drive on his computer didn't lie.

People who know that they are doing something wrong, or something that they feel is right but that they know they will be judged by society or prosecuted for, can often cover up their tracks pretty well.  Maybe your cousin ISN'T planning on consummating her "marriage" to her dog, but the fact that she believes that he wants to marry her and that he is consenting to this relationship is questionable and a big red flag.

    I'd still report it.
