Having a Lesbian Wedding in CT.

My girlfriend and I have talked about getting married but we want to do it legally, and its not legal in California so we are going to Connecticut to do so. We are planning, and talking about everything possible to talk about, this site has helped alot.
She has a five year old, thats about to become my stepson, and we want more kids in the future, I hope he doesnt get jealous of the new babies.
What are some good theme idea my future fiancee and I can do for our wedding in CT, and keep in mind we want to have a small wedding, like less than 50 people, because we plan on having a large Reception Party back in Cali afterwards.

I would probably find a romantic bed and breakfast to do it at.  A lot of them offer packages for small weddings.

My partner and I live in Connecticut and after having a ceremony at a friend's house in Vermont, did a small legal ceremony at the Town Hall in Hartford.  It is a beautiful building and if you are thinking of doing a small wedding it would be a great place for the ceremony.  Plus, being in the Hartford area gives you a great range of places for small receptions (historic venues, outdoor spaces, ballrooms, etc) plus you are close to the airport and hotels.

Hey, I live in CT and know a wonderful Inn located owned by two lesbians in Ridgefield. It's called Green Rocks Inn and they offer great wedding packages: http://www.greenrocksinn.com/ (i'm considering this place myself!)

Otherwise, do you have any idea where in CT you'd like to have it? Sea shore, country, or city?

The Mayflower is also a beautiful venue it 's a little more expensive:  http://www.mayflowerinn.com/

I just was married this last fall in Connecticut.  It was so beautiful.   We live in utah and flew there because I wanted it to be legal as well.  I searched online and found a site called Soul Mate unions.  Reverend Sara made it so easy for us and gave us lots of ideas and information.  We chose to be married at the Kent waterfalls.  Our pictures are amazing and my day was more wonderful than I could have ever asked for.

You can check it out it you want.

NY is also planning on going to vote at the end of June 2011.  So, if you are interested, you could always come here also and have a Hamptons wedding.  Or even NYC wedding.  My Fiancee and I are not getting married until November, but we are anxiously waiting for the bill to pass.  My collegues in the HRC and in the Albany Senate, basically state that it is a sure thing!  We will be getting married in Bayville, on Long Island.
