no make-up? Hair?

Is there any rule saying you have to wear make-up on your wedding day? I know that sounds silly, but I never wear make-up, but when I said I wasn't planing on wearing it for the wedding I got a few looks of "What did she just say?" I just want to know if the difference is so extreme that I should rethink? My FI has only seen me with make-up on once and thinks I'm beautiful without. I just want to know if this is normal or if anyone has gotten married without.

Also I was wondering what hir styles are out there for straight, thin, almost sholder length hair. I can't think of a darn thing except a half updo with a few loose curls...if they stay.

Well I would recommend wearing a little bit of blush, and maybe a light colored lip stain/stick of some kind. That is amazing that you love the way you look without makeup! I wish I did, haha. You don't want to look washed out in photos though, I would add just a hint of color to your cheeks and lips.

As a videographer, I can tell you that talent (the people being captured in media) without some coloring to pop their face look really awful in pictures and video. For the sake of your hired media help, just do a little blush and lipstain as the PP suggested and a little powder over your face to keep it from getting too shiny. But you can nix the rest of the stuff if you want.

I have really thin straight shoulder length hair and I did a half up with extensions.

As far as the makeup goes, I personally think a bride's wedding day calls for something a little more special than the every day, but only do what you are comfortable with and what makes YOU feel the most beautiful.

Didn't you know your marriage won't be valid if you don't wear makeup? But seriously, I have mid-length straight hair that's very slippery (i.e. won't hold anything) so I would suggest going to a professional. Just keep in mind if your hair is shoulder length, it will look a little shorter than in that pictures because of the curls. Looks great though...I'm still undecided and have the same problem with thinner hair. Mine is about elbow length though.
