  • CRAAAAAAAP!!!!

*sigh*  Thanks for the warning.  Looks like my outdoor ceremony is going to take place during a monsoon.  Cry

  • Uhoh! Well hopefully they are wrong- but at least you can plan ahead with getting a tent or a covering for your ceremony just in case? I was just at an outdoor wedding a few weeks ago in the Finger Lakes during a Tornado Warning and it was still beautiful :)

  • Savannah doesn't allow tents in the public squares.  :-(  The backup for our ceremony is our reception venue.  We rented a room almost 3x larger than we'll actually need just in case we have to hold the ceremony there.  But a ceremony against a banquet hall wall is nothing compared to a ceremony in a beautiful outdoor garden.

Oh well.  At least we'll still be married at the end of the day, right?

  • Boooo!!!
20th-23rd. Gusty winds and showers move across Great Lakes.

Hopefully this will change, or just be slight showers! :) Wind would not be fun, maybe I should keep this in mind when I decide my hairstyle! Thanks!

Well, if this is at all accurate, it might be a close call, but we should be in good shape.  Luckily the ceremony and reception are indoors (in case the "Squall" happens, but comes late), but a number of photo ops on the beautiful grounds where the ceremony would happen would be near impossible.

April is usually pretty dang nice around here, though, so I'm not worried.

One thing to remember: The wedding is just one day. The marriage is all the rest of them.

I don't know, I've seen some wedding pictures in the rain and they definitely compete with the sunny pictures. I think as long as you have a good photographer, they can make anything work! :)

  • Kissing in the rain CAN be very beautiful and romantic, provided you don't care about getting your dress wet for a few minutes.

Forget the parasols - I say we all paint "Just Married" on an umbrella!  lol

The good thing is, I have clear skies both the week before and the week after so maybe something will shift.  Hopefully.  Please?
