I am considering doing small bottles of olive oil, I found a site that can use a customized label as well.

I am doing M&M's or hershey kisses. If we do M&M's then we are going to do 1/3 of them with our names and the rest with out anything on them.

We were really indecisive and ended up doing three. Good thing we DIYed or it would have cost a fortune. We gave everyone 5 jordan almonds (Italian tradition), caramel apples, and CDs with ours and our guests' wedding songs on them.

We did homemade chocolate chip cookies.  Yum!  Edible favors are your best bet.  Most other stuff just gets tossed in the trash or left behind.

I am toying with the idea of those French macaroons just because they're so freakin pretty. I don't even like the way they taste! hahaha!

I'm thinking about designing my own buttons along with something else small, maybe edible. I found this great vendor for the buttons: http://www.busybeaver.net/

We did mini bottles of wine, red and white, with customized labels from www.personalwine.com. They looked really nice on the tables and the wine was pretty good too.

we did chocolate chip caramel apples from Happy Apple.  Plus our escort cards doubled as favors too (hockey pucks with our name/wedding date)

We decided to make a donation to the American Cancer Society instead.  The ACS provided the printed papers and ribbons for scrolls saying "in lieu of traditional favors we have made a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of all of all of our loved ones who have been affected..."

We also did little bride & groom boxes with jordan almonds in them.

Totally agree with Nova. I hate getting senseless favors at weddings and wanted no part of it. We are making a donation to the ASPCA. My fiance and I have adopted pets through the years and this is the most meaningful thing we can do. Once the donation is made, they send cards which inform the guests "a donation has been made to the ASPCA on your behalf" ect. They are very elegant cards, black and white, which as luck would have it, happen to be our wedding colors. Do something that has meaning to you and you can't go wrong.

I am getting lovely little soaps from Long WInter Farm on etsy. A nice smelling,  great priced, and totally useful gift!
