Favors or Not?

Hello.  For favors I wanted to do something people would use, so I thought food would be a good idea.  So far we are thinking either gum or mints.  Would that be sufficient or should we not even do them?

    Favors are given to thank your guests for coming. There is no rule that says you have to give favors. It is completely up to you. If you decide that you would like to give a favor edible is the way to go.

    You are already thanking your guests by providing food and beverage.  I personally think that favors are completely unnecessary.

    It is totally up to you, but edible is definitely the best route to go!

    It is kind of like going for chineese food and not getting a fourteen cookie. It is a downer but not the end of the world.

    I'm not planning on doing much for favors. I'm providing them with a nice meal, drinks, dessert and dancing. My favor is going to be my dessert bar.
