  We haven't gotten too far with music planning yet, and we are really struggling to come up with ideas.

  
  

  ceremony: 

  We're still looking for a ceremony musician & they will have to work with our church so this is all still up in the air for us.

  
  

  reception:  (none of this is really decided, just ideas we're floating around)

  bridal party entrance: Suit & Tie by JT (or possibly Rhythm of Love by The Plain White Ts)

  our entrance: All You Need is Love by The Beatles

  first dance: In My Life by the Beatles

  father daughter: Lullabye by Billy Joel

  mother son: ???

  cake cutting: ???

  open the dance floor (after dinner): Twist & Shout by The Beatles

  garter: ???

  boquet: ???

  send off: Closing Time by Semisonic

  First of all welcome and congrats! Second - eek! I haven't even begun to think about this!! Your choices sounds fun! I just pulled out the book my dj gave me and here are some of the choices he listed for garter- Where my girls at 702, independent woman Destiny's Child, Man I feel like a woman Shania Twain, Pretty Woman, Free Mya, Girls just wanna have fun, and wild woman Natalie Cole

  We are wedding date twins

  
  

  I haven't gotten down to picking the actual songs for the wedding yet. We are having a piano player for the ceremony so it wiill most likely be classical music. Canon in D and such. I know I want our first dance to be Angel by Jack Johnson. And I am a HUGE Frank Sinatra fan. So we are going to play a lot of his stuff too!

  Congrats! I know someone else who is getting married that day too! =P We are going to pick most of our music next month, when we meet with the DJ.  I do know though, that we are using the same song to introduce the bridal party as you are.  Marry Me, by Bruno Mars....I LOVE that song.
  

  
  

  We are dancing to; "When you say nothing at all" by Allison Krauss as our first dance.
  We did something a little different and asked our parents to pick the Father/Daughter, Mother/Son dance. I know my dad will pick something that...(even as I type this gets me a little emotional) is going to make me cry like a baby.
  
  I guess I should keep this thread in mind when I am looking up songs to make sure that I don't forget anything important.  I wasn't even thinking of a song to play when cutting the cake.

  We still have one selection to make, but so far we have the following. All of our music while guests are seated, dinner, and dancing music is selected as well so that is a relief. A few are spanish songs as we are bilingual:
