April 2013 Weddings

TPT

TP to anyone that drives on the expressway and uses their break more than the freaking gas pedal.

TP to stupid people that start drama because they made a wrong assumption.

TP to this wedding because I am stressed out and want it to be over with.

If FI's payroll dept messed up his paycheck then a huge TP to them. He might be able to take 2 days off after the wedding, and if he is able we could go on a mini trip! A VERY generous coworker of mine offered their time share to us for free because they changed their vacation week and didn't have time to rent it out. But payroll sent out a memo that some people were over paid and they either will a) take it out of their next check or b) let them keep the money but take it out of their time coming to them. UGH.

TP to this whole week too.

Re: TPT

  • TP to the stupid Snow Survey people.  I know that people in the North/Midwest want to know how much snow there is still and how quickly it's going to melt but really, you couldn't have waited a DAY to start the next mission so that my FI didn't have to go back to Minneapolis and fly around Green Bay and all the way out to Montana for the THIRD time this month?!?  We could have spent the weekend together and broken up this whole "going 6 weeks without seeing each other right before the wedding" deal.  Le sigh.

I think that's really my only qualm this week.  We got lucky and had over 50% of our guests decline(these are mostly the guests that we haven't seen since we were very small or haven't met that our parents just HAAAAD to have on the guest list).  Now we might actually come in at budget and maybe even under?  Dare I speak the possibility...

I don't think I have any TPs today. I must be in a good mood!

ETA: Oh, I take that back. I kinda want to TP the guy who hasn't yet RSVP'd (a friend of mine, no less). I tried calling him and left a voicemail, then texted him. Email and Facebook next. WTF? My numbers are due by Friday. I don't care if you can't come--just tell me!
  • I needed this yesterday more than today but a lot of the same stuff still applies.

TP myself. I am clumsy and when I'm tired or stressed it just increases tenfold. I smacked my eye into a chair yesterday morning while going to pick up something the cat knocked off a table. Luckily the bruise isn't *too* visible and will definitely be gone by the wedding, but it hurts and my eye is puffy. Ugh.

TP my skin for being SO sensitive. I mean, I know this, which is why I got my eyebrows done 12 days out, but the redness and bumps are annoying. At least it's less red and irritated from threading than from waxing - but still.

TP people not emailing me back. I mean, whatever, I get it. Not every one of my vendors can email me 2 hours after I email them but I'm stressed and I'd really love immediate responses.

TP people who are adding last minute stresses to our pile of stresses. We're planning a wedding, folks. Take care of your own dang travel plans. You've known about this wedding since like September.

TP ourselves, again, for planning a wedding right after Easter. Yes, it's going to be pretty and we saved a bundle not having to get flowers for the church, but I'm not going to be able to go to Easter dinner with my family and I just so desperately need some family time - that's NOT wedding related. I already told FI that we need to plan a weekend in May to just hang out with my family (like...grandfather, cousins, aunt, uncle - not just parents). I miss them - and my friends from home that I also have not seen (who are at least awesome and keep telling me not to worry about it but I really need some girl time with them). Part of why we moved back to the east coast was so I could see all these people I love more - and I've had no time to do so in like a year.

Oh yes, TP to my last five family members that "already sent their response in" or can't find the common courtesy to call my mom back and say yes or no.  Your response never showed up, little miss relative I haven't seen in a billion years but my mom HAS seen you in the last couple of months.  Don't be rude and hang up the phone on her with a "I SENT MY RESPONSE!"  Clearly we don't have it, so calm the frick down and use your words.

TP to my coworker for being 1) annoying and 2) did not protect me from the make-over and laughed his butt off during said process. So on principal he must be TPed.

TP to FI for making excuses not to help me with the escort cards. I asked him Monday on his day off, he said he would then never did. Now he works all week so I have to do them by myself, since no one else can help (love having no friends...)

TP to FL weather. MAKE UP YOUR MIND ALREADY!!!!!!

TP to work for making me do everything twice. If I remove something there's a reason for it, so don't put it back in the next day. I will just remove it again and work my butt off to get it done before everyone else starts up for the day, even if that means starting before 8 am.

TP to this tired feeling every day I get at exactly 5:30 pm. So then I sleep instead of do laundry, cook dinner and work on wedding stuff. UGH.

I think that's it for now...

ETA: Nope there's another one. TP to my mother. She's trying to convince me to keep my maiden name and not take FI's. This is a bunch of BS as I WILL take FI's last name. Just got a message from her at work about insurance. After we get married I'm going on FI's insurance through his job and I'm getting dental through mine. She's not too happy and wants me to stay on hers and not change my name. UGH TP to her for just pissing me off so much right now!

OMG I've been waiting for this all week!!!!

TP to well.. I'm not going to say my old dog (RIP).. but to her incontinence. My old roomie (MOH) just moved out of her apartment that I shared and they were charged a lot in urine pet damage. So I wrote her a check for $300 to cover it *sigh* AND TP to my current animals, as much as I love them.. but our dog has bathroom issues occasionally too, and the cats do damage through chewing or making holes with their claws randomly. So I've spent a lot of money replacing stuff they damaged! (Like our marriage license...)

TP to the lady who made my jewelry that broke and thus $50 was wasted.

TP to FI because his work schedule made it so we canceled our Santa Barbara night during our mini-moon, which is fine because we are going to do 2 other little beach long weekends in the next year... but there was a $25 cancelation fee.

TP to pub height chairs! I needed a folding one so we would have an extra for our table and to get it here by Easter the shipping was $40 (they are nowhere in stores and $80 online).

  • TP: MOTHER NATURE!!! THanks for not warming up and letting me have my outdoor ceremony! I am sure it will be beatiful either way, but I really wanted that long walk down the walkway to the grass!

How warm do you need it to get? Right now the forecast in NYC at least is warming up pretty drastically by the end of next week (and by drastically I mean upper 50s to low 60s but that's still a vast improvement over what it's been)
  • TP to my step-sisters who can't make up their mind about whether they're coming to the wedding or not, or how many of them in the family are coming if they do bother to come. I just don't care at this point.

TP to this week just having so much stuff going on. Last night I was invited to 3 seperate things but I had to say no to all of them because of the hair trial. I'm just BUSY until next week when I'm really no longer busy :P

TP to the weather sites being 12 degrees different from each other. 12 degrees is the difference between toughing it out during the ceremony and basking in the sunlight. I'd really like to know what I've gotten myself into, thank you very much.

As of right now the venue has us planning for an indoor ceremony. Nothing has bloomed and everything is pretty brown. RIght now temps are saying 57 degrees and sunny for Friday which I would totally have it outside... but do i want to get married outside with the grounds looking gloomy?

  • TP to the nearly 100 people who have not sent me their rsvp. Seriously about 50% and it is past the deadline. Oh and an extra tp to the 5 people to decided to +1 me. It doesn't really matter since it isn't a sit down meal but seriously!

  • I know I'm a day late, but I'd like to TP my eye doctor for making me feel like I'm committing a crime for wearing my glasses on my wedding day. She's trying to bully me into wearing contacts for my wedding even though I haven't worn contacts in 20 years. I realize that 95% of brides do not wear their glasses, but mine are a part of me and have been since I was 7. I look naked and weird without them. i don't want to look at my wedding pictures for the rest of my life and feel like i don't look like myself. Will be glasses be outdated eventually? Of course, but at least I'll look like myself and feel like myself on my wedding day.
