I am having a private wedding, only a few close friends and immediate family, so I was wondering if I send out wedding announcements to extended family and friends or not? I want people to know I am getting married, but at the same time I don't want them to feel left out that they cannot attend.

    You can send out an annoucement after you get married.

    It is optional, but it is perfectly acceptable etiquette-wise to do so.  Announcements are sent out right after the wedding (like the next day).

    Alright, sorry, I am unaware of rules of weddings haha. I am learning! I'll just send them out after we get married. Thanks for the help.
