Industrial/Loft Venue - Jersey City, NJ

I have been searching for an industrail/loft style venue in Jersey City for some time now.

The best google searches that have almost worked are as follows:

industrial venue space jersey city
loft space " "
unique venue space " "
art gallery venue space " "
raw event spaces " "
warehouse event space " "

The ceremony will be at our church in Jersey City, so NYC is not an option as we would like to keep travel at a minimum. (Although I am willing to consider other north jersey locations that suffice and are close to Jersey City - fiance really would like to stay in jersey though)

I tried contacting art spaces - but even the list of vendors that populated was short and a dead end.

Does anyone have any clue where I can find a venue that comes close to the examples I have posted below. Or know of any gallery spaces I can contact?

Your help is much appreciated!!!

I can't think of an industrial venue in Jersey City (I've lived here my whole life).  I did find that Liberty Science Center has various options for venue spaces.  Below is the link:

There is also the Loews Theater.  http://www.loewsjersey.org/renting#.UXmUbpXGLao

ETA:  If a small commute is managable, there is a museum in Newark.

  • What about Kolo Klub in Hoboken (above beer garden)? Not sure all the particulars and haven't been there yet. I heard it's an industrial loft style event space. Maybe worth taking a look and its close to JC.

<div>The only problem I can see with the Kolo Klub is that on Friday and Saturday nights its an actual lounge.  They would have to shut it down to the public and that can cost.  We were thinking of doing that at a restaurant in Hoboken but when we priced it out it was almost double what we are paying at our current venue.  You figure they need to be able to make up for lost revenue.</div>

  • Oh ok, I thought I read somewhere that it's only open to the public if they don't have an event. Thanks for the info!

Here is the link to the Kolo Club.  They do cater to private events, but IDK what they need to do to make it happen.  I could totally be wrong LOL.  The place in general is amazing.  They are however open to the public on Friday and Saturday nights.

  • Thank you ALL! Super helpful!
  • Try the Art Factory in Paterson's historic district. The venue is an assemblage of nineteenth century industrial spaces with frontage on the national park so you can have your park pictures and industrial themed wedding reception at the same locale. Artfactory.us.com.
  • awesome suggestion! thank you, thank you!
  • Jahmi P, Have you priced caterers? I was initially going for a raw space but caterers were quoting me $$$ so I've started looking at all-inclusive venues.
  • Would have to second Kolo Klub (if it's a viable option for you).  Love that place and it's catered by Anthony David who makes AMAZING food!

I am waiting for their list of recommended caterers that have decent pricing for industrial/unique venues so as soon as I have I will definitely forward! Good luck in your search!!

  • I was also looking in to the art factory so any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!
