Ohio-Columbus

Rustic/romantic venues

Im looking for affordable, yet rustic options. We are looking to plan it fast october 2013 dates being looked at since its outside ... Looking for more info on what white star farms is like?
Griggs boathouse is still open and we may do that but really love the idea of a food truck! We would have it on our two acres but are scared of the weather.

Re: Rustic/romantic venues

  • Cheers and Lakeside chalet in Lancaster, I wanted the rustic romantic type feel, and i fell in love with this place!!!
  • Check out the Ohio Village in Columbus.  Pretty unique venue and definitely rustic.  They will let a food truck in and are pretty open to moving you inside if the weather turns bad.

Ill def check this out over the weekend! Do you know any prices?
  • My weddings on a Friday, so I'm not sure about Saturday prices, but I do know it's a bit more expensive. The minimum is $5000 which will include, decorations, food, linens, and a some small detail stuff. They have the option of cash bar or hosted bar. We're doing a mix of both. We're buying one beer per guest, and giving out tickets when the guests arrive. So everyone gets one free drink and the rest is up to them! :)

</div><div>I'm having my ceremony and reception at the Schultz Mansion in Zanesville in October 2013. It's only $950 for use of the garden and the carriage house for 5 hours AND you get to use your own caterer for an additional $50 fee. This also includes use of the venue the night before for decorating and a rehearsal. You can also do your own alcohol as long as you don't do kegs and you hire a bartender (doesn't need to be licensed if you don't charge guests for the alcohol). It's quite the steal. The garden is beaturiful and ceremony decor is optional here because of the flowers and the sunken garden. The only thing I'm renting is the chairs! The reception can be held in the carriage house (but it only seats 120 at most). If you have a small guest list, you should consider it. Here's a link to their site. </div><div>

</div><div>Call now though because when I booked back in December, October was filling up fast. My wedding date is 10/12/13.
