Reception Question!

Does the bride have to give a toast at the reception?

The couple wouldn't toast themselves. Sometimes the couple will thank people for coming, but that isn't a toast.

[QUOTE]The bride specifically? No. But every wedding I have been to included the couple standing up together and thanking everyone for coming and sharing the day, usually right around the same time as the cake cutting.

OP - If you don't do this, ensure you get around to all the tables during dinner to thank your guests.

I don't think its something people expect, but I see a lot of brides do it, if nothing else but to just say thanks to everyone for coming and that's it. If you make one, please for the love, make it short and sweet!
