Looking for a resonably priced DJ

I'm looking for a reasonably priced DJ for my wedding at the Dearborn Inn.  It'll be a small (50 person) wedding and the guests will be 30 and over so we need a DJ who can keep the party going with 60s-80s music.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

The only MI wedding DJ I know is Jack Brown. I haven't heard much about him on these boards, but I do know him personally, and I believe he is pretty affordable.

We are going with DJ Crashers out of Lake Orion. They are $1000 for 6 hours of service and photo booth. I believe it was $600 for just DJ service. They have GREAT reviews

Our DJ is amazing.  She has a huge variety of music and hosts karaoke nights a local bars, so she definitely knows how to keep a party going.  Her name is Sheryl Holland.  She owns Firecracker Entertainment. She is extremely reasonably priced.  Calling her is probably the best way to contact her.   (586) 918-1598

I am going with Encore Event Group, not sure how much just DJ would cost since I am doing lighting through them too.

We went with Best DJ Service...It is $750 for unlimited hours.  Brendan is really nice and knows pretty much every type of music out there!! Also, if you need, he does uplighting and monogram lighting.

Beware of DJ Crashers.  My BF from HS uses them this past September...it was a disaster....they would not play any requests (Even from the Groom), played music that did not fit the crowd (we are late 20- early 30's) and didn't even start playing music until 9:30 when the wedding ended at 11...even after the bride and the bride's mother requested that they start the dance music.  Just wanted to put our experience out there!

Mike Ziamba, owner of The Music Butler, was amazing.  He was $600 (I believe) for our ceremony and reception.  Since our wedding I've seen him at a few others and every time he's be great.  Musicality (song selection and how it sounds) were huge for us and Mike was the best.  Trust me, I've heard more DJs than I care to admit not play music properly where the bass or treble are way off so it sounds different, and usually not that great.

</div><div>That is so strange, since they have an extensive contract in which the couple specifically writes dow what kind of music they want to hear and what kind they don't want to hear. They also have a line where the couple indicates if they want requests allowed or not...</div><div>
</div><div>We are also going with DJ crashers and I just love Saxon. He is the owner, and I feel so comfortable knowing the wedding music is in his hands since he is around our age and has a similar style to us!</div>
