Outdoor wedding at Beavers Bend State Park

I am getting married on August 1, 2014. My fiance and I have decided on the wedding venue. But the venue where our wedding is going to be held is a shelter that is close to the water. Our wedding has a rustic, Old South theme. The problem that I am running into is that I have opted to hold the wedding at dusk. From what I can see, there are no power outlets to plug in lights of any sort. My sister suggested some of those citranella tiki toches. Does anybody have any other suggestions to take care of this lighting problem?

  • Lots and lots of candles on the tables. If you place them on top of  mirrors, it will double the light. A lanterns would be great if you have somewhere to hang them.

I made small lanterns out of mason jars, and tied them to trees with fishing twine. The same could be done with rafters or support beams in your shelter.

I wouldn't use the tiki torches, since they don't seem to fit in to your style, and too much citronella could be overwhelming.
