ESCORT CARDS

in May 2013 Weddings

I am starting to work on my escort cards just wodering what to write on them. Someone told me to put them in alphabetical order by last name. I really dont want to make a card for each person i was going to do it by couple like   Smith, James and mary. Is that ok? Also I sent invites to people thinking 2 people and got back saying 4. How would i word this. Not sure what to do open to any suggestions. Thanks

    If you sent an invite to Mr. and Mrs. Smith and they RSVPed for 4 people then you need to contact them and let them know that you cannot accommodate the additional 2 people. 

    As for escort cards, for married couples I did:

    Jane and John Smith 

    For unmarried couples I did 

    Jane Adams
    John Smith 

    I plan to alphabetize the cards based on last name. For unmarried couples, I'lll go by the last name of the person FI and I are closer to.

    thanks  I just got a response back 2 days late sent to 2 people and it says 5 apparently they think they need to bring there 3 children. thanks again

    We had that happen!  I actually put "Mr. John Smith, Attending ___ Not Attending ___ , Meal Choice: XXX" "Mrs. Jane Smith, Attending ___ Not Attending ___, Meal Choice: XXX" so they would be WELL AWARE kids were not invited and someone added their kid to the bottom! SERIOUSLY?  I could only laugh.  Who does that?
