Flowers

Flower consult tomorrow!

My appointment with the florist is tomorrow to get my first price quote. I am wondering what the "traditional" amount of flowers is -- I know that I will have my bridal bouquet, all of my bridesmaids will have a bouquet, boutonnieres for the groom and groomsman, something floral for the flower girl (I think I will do one of those pomander balls, we aren't allowed to have loose flower petals unfortunately). I think I'd like two arrangements for the altar in the chapel as well. Other than that though, what else should I include?? Who else gets flowers generally?? We are not doing any floral centerpieces just a side note. Thank you for any advice you can offer!

Re: Flower consult tomorrow!

  • Typically the parents and grandparents and anyone doing a reading also gets flowers.

As for price, that really depends on what type of flowers you are interested in and your region because flower prices vary greatly depending on where you live and the cost of living in your area (ex:  NYC would be a lot higher then a small town in, let's say, Arkansas)

  • Your florist can guide you. Do you need them on the cake or cake table? On the welcome or escort card table?
