DIY wedding centerpieces

Have any of you ladies made your own centerpieces with real flowers?  If so, where did you purchase flowers and containers and would you recommend them? Looking for hydrangeas and/or roses.  Thank you.

    I made my sister's centerpieces. I ordered the flowers from Sam's Club online. They were beautiful! We got the containers from Michael's with a coupon and my teacher discount.

    We made our own centerpieces. We used fake flowers for them, but we got the vases at the Dollar Tree ($1) and Target ($3). For our church flowers, we ordered them through Whole Foods. There was no mark-up, and they were beautiful. For those flowers, we bought taller vases at Home Goods ($10ish, I think).
