Looking for non-typical Los Angeles Wedding Band

Fiancee and I are musicians and we want a great, not-top 40 band (3 piece Jazz or fusion with classic rock twists) to play daytime in LA and then allow us to jam along... any ideas?

Don't have any bands, but maybe check a local college? I went to a wedding a few years ago at Occidental college and some students played music at the ceremony.

They can be a cover band or the lead singer Melissa heads a jazz band too.
