How to get limes to sink in my vase centerpieces

How do you get limes to sink!?? I would like to put limes in a vase with water and have the limes at the bottom of the vase and a floating candle at the top of the water. All my limes are floating. Help!

    I tried to look it up, and everything I read says lemons float and limes sink. 
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
