Wedding Invitations & Paper

I'm in need of some creative ideas!!!!

Hello, my name is Alex.  My wedding is less than three months away, and I just started a new job.  Unfortunately, now my time is cut very short considering I'm already working ten days in a row.  Anyways, I'm having an Alice in Wonderland wedding and need some ideas for the invitations.  I'm great at editing, so I will be making them myself, but right now I have no time to even think of ideas.  My save the dates were playing cards, and if I can figure it out I'll post a picture.  I want them to have elements from Alice in Wonderland, but not too over the top.  If you know it's an Alice in Wonderland wedding then you'll get the references, but if you don't, it's just a very nice looking invitation.  Sorry if I'm bad at explaining what I want, but if any of you could just help me come up with ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Here are the save the dates I did.

  • The STDs are cute. I don't think I would do Alice invitations, though. You have to tread very lightly with themes, or your wedding ends up looking like a child's birthday party. Just use standard invitations and include small Alice touches at your reception, like a Mad Hatter's cake, maybe tea for favors, etc.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Not sure if you sent save the dates already but with your wedding now less 90 days away, they are no longer needed. Invitations should go out instead. I like the reference, but as Addie stated to much reference mAy be just too much.
  • I love the STD's and theme.  On that note, my ideas would be a simple/classic invite with:

    1. Mad Hatter had in the bottom or top corner, just something to add a touch.

    2. Playing card image somewhere on the invite (follow your STD theme), with ONE playful Alice themed line starting or ending the invite like, "There's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then."

    3. Use the keyhole silloette

    4. "Open Me" if folded invite

    5. Search "wedding invites alice in wonderland" on Google :)

Good luck, it will turn out beautiful!
