Buying wine in bulk

I was thinking of choosing 3 wines

I know definitely a merlot(my mom and moh might actually die without it)

But what other two? Whites?

I will be buying a sparkling wine for the toasts/dessert.

We'll also be buying a few types of beer for the non winos.

Most of my friends that drink wine like a nice Reisling or Rose. I prefer Reisling myself.

I went to a wedding a few weeks ago that had chardonnay and moscato, everyone really enjoyed the moscato it was gone about 1/2 way through the reception. HTH.

I've found vouvrey to be a crowd pleaser, not too dry not too sweet and it's pretty inexpensive

I also love reisling. It's not as cloyingly sweet as moscato. Pinot grigio is also nice.

If you get stuck with leftovers you should get something you enjoy! Personally I'm a fan of a reisling in a crowd-sweet but not too sweet. Moscato can be overpowering at times.... Granted if your guests are wine people they will be happy with whatever!
