We have invited a family friend. He is invited solo, but had put on his RSVP 2 people attending and no name. Should we call him? What should we say?

    I would call him. Maybe mention space constraints or budget doesn't allow for a plus one. It's very assumptive of him to do that :(

    Can you accommodate the plus 1?  If so, call him and ask him the person's name.  If you can't, you'll have to call him and explain what PDXShari just said.
