Booking hotels

Hi - After looking over our guest list, we have 5 couples coming from out of town total. Is it necessary to book a block of hotel rooms off? Or just list the closest hotels to our reception?

It would be extremely nice of you to block off some rooms at a hotel that is close to the reception site and let those couples know that you have done that.

Oh sorry posted before I was done. You can let your guests know that you blocked off rooms and also list other options incase the want to stay elsewhere.
