Ceremony Venues Stow/Kent/Akron

Hello! I am having trouble finding a church for our ceremony in the Stow/Kent area for 200-250 people. Our reception is in Stow so we don't want to stray too far. The main difficulty is that we want more of a customized ceremony (not too religious, but still in a church for our families). The only church that I have been able to find so far is Unity Chapel of Light in Tallmadge. I loved their open philosophy, but wasn't crazy about the sanctuary. Does anyone have any suggestions for other churches in the area? Thanks!!

For non-denominational ceremonies, have you considered local historic church buildings? I've been to weddings in all of these lovely old chapels:

We're having our ceremony at Pilgrim United Church of Christ. The pastor is really open and doesn't require joining the church or being of a certain religion. He'll also customize the entire ceremony with you. The sanctuary is super quaint but the carpets are bright red so if you have your heart set on a certain color it might clash. Other brides have simply gone with black and white photos of the ceremony which we will probably end up doing.

I'm in the same boat Kathleen! Not really religious, but have always pictured getting married in a church. We're either having our reception in Akron/Green or in Brunswick and I'm having a hard time finding a place that's truly non-denominational, looks nice, and can hold up to 150 people...
