Where to place the favors at the wedding?

For my favors I ordered personalized stemless wine glasses then placed mints inside and wrapped in tulle and tied with a yellow ribbon they turned out super cute... my problem is that I don't know where to place them. our wedding reception is outdoors and we aren't sure where to place the favors. I thought about sitting them all over a table but my mom is concerned that kids at the wedding might knock them over. Then I thought about putting 8 at each table (8 chairs a table) but my mom is still concerned that they will get knocked over. The wine glasses aren't like little candy bags that you can just toss in a big basket... so its kind of tricky... what do you guys think? im thinking I will just put 8 on each table...

Are the parents of these children going to allow them to run amok knocking into glasses before they have gotten to the table and moved them out of harm's way?
