Need a seamstress! Married girls-- who did you use and were you happy with the results?

Re: Seamstress

  • I've heard good things about Maria's in Fairfield. Haven't been yet but going to get my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding altered there. Will let you know.

For a wedding dress, or just in general?  If it's for wedding, I used the seamstress at the shop where I purchased my gown (The Wedding Dress in Portland, CT).  She did an excellent job and it was very reasonably priced.  I was able to order my gown with a custom hem, but I did need it taken in and they also altered my bra and did the bustle.  I believe my alterations came to $100.

I went to Marcy at Marcy's tailor shop in Monroe.  Loved her!
