Beach Wedding Cake Help!

Hi guys, I have a dilemma. My fiance and I are having a beach wedding next August, and need help with Cake ideas. Our wedding and reception are all outdoor and we have no clue what in the world we can do about the cake situation. We can't leave it out otherwise it may melt, and be attacked by bugs. LOL. Any suggestions?? Or should we just opt out of cake all together??

    The "melting" won't really happen if you use fondant.  If you had butter-cream icing or something that would be a different story.  As for the bugs, you could use citronella candles or ThermaCELL lanterns.  If you are still really worried about bugs, you could use a sort of canopy made out of a white screen material until you are ready to cut and eat the cake.
