DIY garter?

Anyone making their own garter? I was going to post this in tge diy part but it won't let me.

I know you measure around your leg but how much more fabric do you add on to that?

    Hi Jessi. I've made hundreds of garters so @kristbot sent me over here.

    For the actual garter, I usually do 1.5 to 2 times the length around your leg and then, for the elastic, I do about .75 the length around. I hope that made sense.
