Godfather/Goddaughter Dance?

Plain and simple: my father will not be attending my wedding. So when I got engaged, I knew there was only one person to ask to "give me away", my uncle/God-father. He accepted. So when it comes time for the father/daughter and mother/son dance, would it be rediculous to have a Godfather/Goddaughter dance?

I don't think it would be ridiculous and it can take place of the father / daughter but you don't have to announce it as gf /gd if you don't want to.

If you want to do it, I don't see any problems with it. However, don't feel like you 'have to' have a dance in place of the father-daughter dance.
