What's with posting boudoir photos on Facebook?

I'm sorry, but I don't get that.

I get you paid to have hair and make up done and a professional photographer...you look good and you're proud. Yeay. But I don't need to see pics of you being sexy in your underwear or under the sheets alluding that you're naked. And once it's on the internet, it's Public!

I agree! So freaking gross! My aunts on my dad's side all decided to do basically a porn shoot. They posted their pics all over Facebook, to brag about how sexy 40 can still be. They were literally naked in these photos with maybe their hair covering nipples or hands hiding a twat. The thought makes me need to vomit! Bleh! :-X

    Yeah, attention whores.

You could un-friend them or click the 'see less' thing from them in your news feed.

Eeeeew I've never had anyone on my FB post these. One friend occasionally posts pics of her job/ burlesque performances where she's like hanging from a swing in a thong. I would never but she obviously does it front of strangers so it doesn't bother her.

Thank God I haven't seen this yet. I'm still scarred from the blobby 3D ultrasound pictures.

I can't even work up the guts to do boudoir photos for FI, much less post such a thing publicly.

I haven't seen boudoir pics pop up on my newsfeed yet, thankfully. But today I did see a friend of mine 'liked' a picture, so it showed up in my newsfeed. The picture was of a man, woman and baby, all naked, laying on a fur rug. The pic was from the bottom of the ribcage and up, so the woman was covering her breasts with her arm. Great if you're comfortable posing for pictures like that, but I wonder if these people know that friends of friends of friends can see them.

BTW, the picture was beautifully taken, showing a new family, I just don't think Facebook is the appropriate way to share.

Woah! Is this seriously a thing now??? I have to admit, when my friend was getting into hair, make-up and photography, I modeled for her pics, and they were a bit sexy, but nowhere near porn status because all of the essentials were covered, and I was clothed. I made SURE they did NOT end up on FB though!

Yea, I'm not a fan of those photos.

But what really gets me, is the women who post mostly naked photos of themselves pregnant.  I have a friend who has never worn a bikini in her life, no crop tops, nothing that shows her stomach and then all of a sudden she's pregnant with her shirt pulled up to show off her baby bump.  And I'm just like, you wouldn't post a picture of you in a bikini or in a sports bra and shorts, so why are you showing off your stomach now?  I just don't get it.

I have a friend who does this, and I don't even know what to do with it. I love her, AW-ness and all.

I've never seen boudoir photos on my news feed, but I have a friend who works as a teacher by day and a cocktail waitress by night.  Her cocktail attire is generally a crop top or bedazzled sports bra and tiny butt-shorts.  She has separate Facebooks for personal and student use, but more than once, she has set her profile pic as a pic of her with full midriff exposed in her cocktail waitress outfit.  I somehow think she doesn't realize that your profile pic is public and all her high school students can see that photo when they Facebook her name, even if she doesn't actually accept a friend request.

Ewww. I can't imagine putting something like that up in a public place. I don't even put pictures of my clothed self up on Facebook.

Some people need to be reminded that once you post a picture on Facebook, they retain the rights to the photo, not you. Its in the terms of service agreement you must agree to in order to create a Facebook account. So Facebook now owns those "sexy photos".

Yes. I was talking about this a couple weeks ago to a friend. FB has gotten ridicuolous and it irriitates me half the time to get on there as it has become a haven for attention seeking, especially negative. Smh..
