Bride Registries Product Preview Event... scam???

I recently received an email from previews@brideregistries.com asking me to attend a 90 minute product preview event at a local hotel in exchange for a free gift package. This event is sponsored by Brides Against Cancer. Has anyone else gotten or experienced similar emails? Is this a scam?

    Is there an admission fee? It may not be a scam but any preview event or bridal show will likely take your info (email, phone) and bother you with offers or try to get you to buy their services. I'd be skeptical and careful about the information you share if you do go.
