  You could go to Quiet Waters park for your e-pics.  I've heard of some girls going there.  It's further down Rt 100 (toward the bay).
  
  As for day of, I know there's Harmon Park behind the hotel across from the Safeway.  I have never been there, though, so I have no idea what it looks like.  That's all I can think of in the immediate vicinity (other than the mall).

  Centennial Park in Howard County is a good spot. You have lake, tree, and open grass areas for some diversity. There is also a small marsy park on Centennial Lane between 108 and 40 that would work well. It has a little gazebo, and is pretty much always empty. Or you could see about shooting at Clarks Elioak Farm. Savage Mill could also be nice, especially if you can get permission to go up in the trees on the rope course. But the old railroad bridge and the river there would also work nicely. And there's also the various stretches of Patapsco valley state park that are quite scenic.

  Ellicott City is nice if you want come "city shots." Soheil Photography in Maple Lawn is awesome and knows all nice spots. http://www.soheilphotography.com Good Luck!

  I think you're thinking of Downs Park, which is at the end of rt. 100/Mountain Rd.  Quiet Waters is in Annapolis.  Also a beautiful park, but different direction.
  
  There's also Kinder Farm Park in Millersville.
