Grand Bahia Principe in Punta Cana

Hi!
We just booked our Honeymoon here, in the Esmeralda section, in June.
Has anyone every been there?  Any thoughts?

    I was there. The pool is awesome. The beach was nice but the water was very, very seaweedy (is that a word?)! Go see the omelet guy and if you like iced coffee try it in the lobby bar! The lobby bar is the best one. If you drink, go to the lobby at night for the best drinks and one night drinks in coconuts. Do some research on excursions if you plan to do any to make sure you get what you want. I cannot remember where our room was though!

    I haven't been but we've been entertaining it for our honeymoon. I would love to visit Punta Cana. I hope it turns out well!

    i stayed at the bahia principe ambar a few weeks ago and it was terrific!  HIGHLY recommend.  stay at the ambar...NO KIDS!  you can still access everything on the other properties (like esmerelda), but kids can't come to your pool or beach area.  huge plus for us.  :-)
