I'm out of control.

I've made boutonnieres. I've designed our programs. I bought a cake stand. My invitations are already here. I've already had my hair and makeup trial. I just ordered organza table overlays. I'm thinking about bailing on the work I should be doing right now and making a ring bearer pillow instead.

I'm going to run out of things to do REALLY SOON and I still have 6 months to go! Agh! This is not the kind of wedding stress I should be having! :-p

Just think of all the stress free days you will have leading up to the wedding because of your preparedness! :)

Same here!! I feel like I have so much done, my invites are in and I may start addressing them just because I'm bored. There are a few things that I couldn't do because I was waiting to find out what colors the BM's would be wearing. So now that we bought them today I can do a few decorations in that color. (I knew I wanted a normal dress from Macy's not a David's Bridal thing so I wasn't sure what color we were going to be able to find them in). And I still have to figure out little tiny logistics like who will box up the centerpieces and bring them home the night of the wedding, because the venue refuses to hold them.

Amazing! Get 'er done! do as much as you can now to relieve stress later. I should be done with all my stuff by June, I have most everything booked. Just waiting on my food tasting to send out invites and do programs, then I'll be done.

I'm the same way.  Everyone asks, how's the planning going.  I'm done!  We just have to get in touch with the baker(s) associated with the venue to schedule our tasting.  Oh & get the men's formal wear... that's happening this weekend.

I'm a teacher & off for spring break in a few weeks, so I plan to have my mom & whoever of my girls over to package up the invitations, so they'll be ready to go.  Then as soon as summer vacation hits, I'm going to work on putting the favors together with one of my BM, and probably mom.  I realized I also have to get the materials to make the place cards.

I keep saying to myself, "is there something I'm missing?!".  I have this sneaky suspicion I'm missing some really little details.  But I'm using the checklist on here & have pretty much everything covered!  May be time to pick the brains of my already married friends to see what little things I could be overlooking.

Well if you're done with yours, come do mine! ;)

That's seriously awesome. Get it all out of the way now. I still have a list a mile long of crap to do.

I'm slowly accumulating more "stuff" each pay day... today it was the antique lace to edge my veil with (something old!), menu selection stamps for escort cards (chicken, fish, and a carrot for vegetarian), and personalized compact mirrors to go with my bridesmaid gifts. FI might start to think there's something going on with the UPS man. :-p

Wow, I haven't done anything, compared to you guys! I've only booked the church and the venue. I've looked at some dresses online and I have a pretty good idea of what I want, but nothing concrete yet. Its the same with the cake, the rings and flowers.

And I don't mean this as an insult but to be perfectly honest, Danish weddings seem to be a little less - what can I say? - 'extravagant' than American weddings. I mean, with the party favors, gifts for the bridal party and all the color coordinating. It must be a little overwhelming. :)

I don't even have a theme, let alone a color for my wedding. :) And also, from what I understand, BMs are traditionally adult, female friends/sisters of the bride. In Denmark, bridemaids are mostly young children (girls). In fact, I've never even seen or heard of using adult bridesmaids in Denmark. :)

Haha that's not insulting to me at all, it doesn't surprise me that Americans would be more over the top. :)
