@southernpeach89 Thank you for ruining my day (just kidding!) by making me want that trifle!! @swazzle if you see a cute mama in JC, it's just my mommy. She and dad are up visiting for a wedding in Manhattan tonight. They're staying over by the Shoprite, but were probably near your work last night because dad's best buddy lives off Warren St, haha. Or Essex? One of those. I think they're right next to each other. I hope you have SO MUCH FUN on your trip even with your walking boot!

It's easier to find a job when you have a job - so hopefully your FI will be able to find something that pays more (if that's his overall plan). I hope he likes it!

I don't like the time difference! Y'all are practically done talking by the time I show up, haha! I'm like "Oh hey, I can reply to that!" But then 5 people already have. . .

BF might work tomorrow. I will probably run if the weather permits. Sunday we get to go to a tiny theme park in Portlandia for a company event. I'll get to meet all of BF's coworkers that I've heard about, including his boss who I may want to kick in the nuts. Basically I think I'll just try and look extremely attractive, haha. You know. . . For a theme park.

Thank goodness it's Friday. I had a meeting with my PI almost first thing when I got in, and I was shocked that it actually went fine. I just had all bad news for him, but he seems like he's in a good mood. Works for me.

My plan is to start up new cells today for next week, clean up my bench, help my undergrad with her cells, and then go home. I have a LOT of cleaning to do because my mom is coming over tomorrow to help with wedding stuff. Sunday, my plans are to finish watching this season of Hell's Kitchen with my best friend, and then to spend the rest of the day watching Lost and Once Upon a Time with J.

My fatigue is NOT improving, and I'm really worried. There's a chance that it's just because I had such a rough weekend last weekend (I mean--good rough; weddings are fun!), but now my brain is all, "IT'S CANCER YOU HAVE BLOOD CANCER."

Aw, my oldest brother just sent me a picture of my niece. Today is her 13th birthday, and she looks so grown up! I can't believe she's already 13. Geez. My SIL is pregnant with their 3rd kid too. She's due in September. My brother and SIL are in their early 40's and have a 3 year old too. Apparently they're pretty fertile lol.

BF and I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last night, which was a lot better than I was expecting it to be. He got some not so great news yesterday that his job is not going the way he planned, and he's trying to stick it out there the best he can while also attempting to get a remote position from another of the company's facilities or just quitting all together and either finding something in Baltimore or DC, or just upping our timeline and moving to Massachusetts and getting a job there. Moving to Massachusetts means I would go with him and have higher chances at getting a job I actually want, but it skews with our timeline a bit since I wasn't planning on living with him until after we were married (thanks to some weird thoughts I still have from my former religion and my super conservative grandmother), but moving up there, neither of us could afford to live alone. But thankfully we have some time to figure things out before we get to that.

I go home tomorrow, so today is a lazy day at the apartment just doing laundry and packing things up. Sunday is my friend/former roommate's bridal shower, so I'm looking forward to that.

@Swazzle - That is sucky about your ankle, I hoe you still have a good road trip! I sympathize about your hair; when I had a pixie cut I felt like I was going in every other week to at least get my bangs trimmed, it was sort of irritating. And also @eilis1228 FI is feeling a bit better? The headache comes and goes, but he seems to be in a better mood, so I'm not AS worried.

Peaseblossom55 - I will be irrationally irritated if FSIL's new baby ends up being a girl. She already has a boy, who is the first grandchild...so I'll be annoyed if she gets the first girl too!

@Blackbird230 - Good luck at your interview, and YAAAY for your FI's job!! That's great news!

@southernpeach89 - When I put a trifle bowl on our registry FI asked if I was seriously going to make trifle. I told him that if he was very very good I would make him the trifle from friends. @GoldenPenguin beat me to the gif!!

I'm so stinking excited for this weekend and next week.

Almost my whole extended family is in town. Tonight we'll go to a big family dinner where everyone will get to meet No-Uh. I hope they like him

He's just recently hit that "STRANGER DANGER" phase and freaks when faces he doesn't recognize get too close. Basically he only has eyes for D, Bean, Me and my mom. Otherwise...he needs a little time to warm up to you, then he's fine.

Tomorrow is the Big Latch On international event. Basically a booby feeding fest to get everyone to latch their babies on right at 10:30am. It's part of Breastfeeding awareness week. I'm super excited for that.

Then we'll clean the house and veg for the rest of the night. Sunday hopefully I'll be able to see my baby sister and her new baby. She, unfortunately, developed post natal pre-eclampsia (sp) and is in the hospital.

I wanted to post a quick update because my ring will be ready next week! I was squealing like a little girl at the jeweler's. He called to say the gemstones and the setting were in, so I went by to look at everything, give approval, and drop off the center stone. We sort of maneuvered everything into place on my finger so I could see what it would look like, and I'm so in love. It's going to be gorgeous. I'll AW the shit out of my ring when I get it.
