I need a baker! anybody know of one for a decent price?

I am trying to spend around $300 for a 3 tiered cake to feed 75 guests. doesn't have to be to detailed. I went to one place and they gave me a starting price of $450. Can anybody help me out?

Try Bess's Cakery in Westerville...  I had a 4 tier cake for about $350 in January.

I was at a bridal shower recently, and the cakes were from this bakery ... delicious!

I don't have a baker suggestion. But I wanted to suggest what I did...my buffet included dessert, so we selected the white chocolate raspberry cake (and apple pie, Red White and Boom wedding) and just cut a simple cake MIL made. I figured I'd rather get the dessert free, otherwise they just waive the cutting cost. Ask your caterer if dessert is included in the meal price.

I used Peace Love & Sweets out of Washington Court House. Our 3 tiered cake to feed 125 was $340, so I'm sure she could do a cake to feed 75 for less than $300.  She has a $30 delivery fee if coming to Columbus proper.  But the cake was delicious.  We liked it much better than the cakes that we tried from local bakeries.

She also provided a box to save our top tier and to go boxes for guests included with the cost.\

I am getting my cake from WenDelectable Cakes (can find on facebook).  She does an amazing job and she is reasonably priced. Definitely check her out!

@tawny33 vendors aren't allowed to solicit business on The Knot. You should remove your post. @knotporscha
