Looking for a great DJ!

I'm getting married at the Publick house on 9/28/2013 and I'm looking for a great DJ. I would like to have a DJ that also handles uplighting and possibly other services but I'm open to any ideas. Thank you!

In Response to Looking for a great DJ!:
Congrats on your plans.....I'm married now but helping a friend track down some of my vendors for her wedding.........I got married A few years ago and had Chris DeGray from "And the Beat Goes On" DJ & Lighting in the Sptingfield area......almost positive they work out that way and do not charge travel fees. He was awesome...he's booked for my friend's wedding but I've referred him 3 times since and my other friends loved him too, I think their website shoud be the same, www.andthebeatgoesondj.com..........good luck! I used DJ MaShane http://www.djmashane.com for my wedding and I'm planning my bff's wedding.  They have been to the Publick house before for one of my clients.  I use to be a wedding planner.  Great prices and they are great guys with a lot of energy.  I think it was under $1000 for the basic package.  They have good reviews on http://weddingwire.com/djmashane as well.

    good luck

I'd highly reccomend Shawn Santanello of Viren Entertainment. He's a rockstar, and does uplighting in addtion to DJ and acoustic music services.

DJ Nino is fantastic and who we booked.

Jx2 productions is great; a guy I went to HS with owns the company and they offer  photobooths, and I believe photography and videography as well.

If you want a full service DJ there's Robert Alberti Events. They do EVERYTHING. DJ, musicians, photobooths, lighting, event planning, photography, videography. THey sent a sample CD out and it was really nice.

After 6 years and 2 boys, finally tying the knot on October 27th, 2013!

I don't why DJ's still send out CD's or DVD's.  There is a thing called the internet that you can put pictures and videos online so brides can quickly look and not have to wait for a CD in the mail.  I know I already said this but I still highly recommend DJ MaShane http://www.DJMaShane.com and they use youtube for videos http://www.youtube.com/djmashane1 so you can quickly see there videos and work they do.  They are completely honest and upfront about what they do and how they do it.

Let us know who you end up with.  Good luck!

I was also going to recommend ATBGO (And the Beat Goes On) DJ.  Dan is very professional and AMAZING.  I have been married for almost 3 years and people STILL talk about how GREAT he was that night.  I highly recommend him!

@Knottie, this is your warning that you cannot advertise your band on this or any Knot board.  There are rules against vendors in the TOS you agreed to.

It looks like dd & knottie are one in the same. dd posts constantly about this same dj since she has joined.

I post on anything I can to help people out.  Almost every question is about helping to find a DJ.  I was a wedding planner for years so I do have a lot of info when it comes to certain areas of the business.  If you spend the time looking at my posts I have helped with anything from venues, to car rentals, tux rentals, dance floors, tent rentals, photographers, videographers, and yes DJ's.  I have a certain go to list for vendors.  Videographers I recommend FJ3 Productions, DJ's I recommend DJ MaShane and DJ Ra-Mu, etc.

I do think Knottie that posted on May 15 is someone from that band.  They only posted on that one day and each one with almost the exact same thing but then again it was all people asking for help with a band so idk.  I'm sure a moderator for the board can tell by IP addresses and/or locations.  I'm pretty sure the Knottie from March 17th is my post but I'm not sure why it shows up as Knottie and not my normal screen name.  I did say "but I still highly recommend DJ MaShane http://www.DJMaShane.com" meaning I still recommend them referencing my previous post above.  I have noticed some odds things on here since they switched to the new look

@dd123456, I haven't noticed any issues with your posts. I was specifically referencing the post directly above mine, as that poster has made clear in other posts that the band she is "recommending" is a band in which she participates.

I still recommend our DJ (rick Bellanti from bell-aire music productions) all the time to friends and my sister just had him at hers this July as well. We were afraid no one would dance because of our eclectic music tastes, but Rick made it work by mixing in songs our guests wanted to hear as well. He's super easy to get along with and not the cheesy DJ types we've seen. We hired him on the spot at our first meeting. Best of all was his price he gave a lot more in quality then we thought we'd get for the price, which just proved to us, he really loves what he does. ~ Kimberly <3:)
