Jacket for wedding dress?

Any cool ideas for what to wear over a wedding dress in winter? It likely won't be THAT cold (probably 40s), but I'll need something. I don't want your typical white lacey whatever shrug, and no faux fur. My dress is going to be short and my shoes will probably be red.

A nice wool coat is a good choice, but since your dress is short, how about a cardigan? You can get white or another fun color to play off your shoes.

I don't know what your theme or colors are, but since this is "offbeat weddings" I love red shoes with black leather jackets, you could find one that hits at the waist as opposed to a full length jacket. Again, don't know if that would work for you and your theme!

I was actually thinking about finding a short leather jacket, but I haven't seen one that I like yet. I just bought my red (5 inch heels) shoes today. We don't really have a theme...we just plan on partying all night in Vegas with our guests.
