We are back from our honeymoon!
Heads up: You have to get married legally in a courthouse in Germany- so two days- two ceremonies.
Everything went a thousand times better than expected. The food was delicous, everyone enjoyed oneself, people mingled, the sun was shining (despite the forecasts predicting a 95% chance of rain).

Bits of advice that worked for me:
1. I caught a really bad cold a few days before the wedding and didn't look too well the morning of the legal ceremony.
DIY Make Up and Hair took care of that. Doing my up-do and my makeup helped me to deal with my anxiety and helped to minimise traveling time.
I was way faster than in the trial I did and was really happy about my make up
2. Once the day is there, you will care less about screw ups. We forgot our ceremony music in the car before we went to the courthouse and even though I knew we forgot it, it didn't bother me as much. After driving home because we left the rings on the table, I just didn't want to hurry it too much.
3. Trust your vendors. Don't micromanage, they know what they are doing!
4. Not too many people are going to notice the tiny little details you put so much thought in, they remember delicous food and good company
5. Be yourself!
6. Our first look was brilliant... took so much pressure of the timeline and eases anxiety
7. The videographer was worth it
