Wedding Nightmares

I just had my final dress fitting on Monday and now the dress is home with me and FI (who has no desire to peak-he genuinely wants to be surprised). I have it in a room that he won't go into... it's one that I rarely ever go into as well. Everything with the wedding planning has gone smooth. Only a few minor hiccups:
  • We have one guest who refuses to RSVP for whatever reason (that's a conversation for another day)
  • My bridal shop closed in June but they reached out and were super professional about it
  • My florist fired their floral designer and my paperwork was misplaced.. so I had to start from scratch with the florist 2 weeks ago (it didn't sound like it was a very good ending between he and the company).
Like I said, minor hiccups.. nothing that couldn't be fixed. So back to the dress.... now I have been having nightmares since my dress has been home about all random things that could be happening to my dress (i.e. house fires, a random mouse getting to it, etc.). Anyone else having this problem? Share your stories and how you're combating this! I'm sure it's normal to have these random dreams, but I haven't really slept well in weeks!!! Help me!

Re: Wedding Nightmares

  • Oh I just keep having dreams that something MAJOR is forgotten, it is never the same thing either.
The first dream I had we got married down the road from our venue because everyone was there already (random).
Second dream we forgot to send out invitations, then the last one I had we had forgotten to buy wedding rings.
Seriously, now I'm freaking out that we'll forget to get our marriage license in time or something that can't really be fixed for real!

  • The other day I had a nightmare that my FI wound up in jail the night before the wedding. So, I went to the jail and broke up with him and demanded that he pay me back for everything that I spent on the wedding.

  • I posted this on my wedding month board, but I had a dream one of my bridesmaids altered her dress into a dinosaur costume...and I seemed to be cool with it because I was more worried that my flowers hadn't arrived and the venue suggested I go dumpster diving for some.

She picked up her dress this past Saturday and I went with her.  I said "No dinosaur costumes!!" and we both laughed about it.
