Wedding party second time around...

Hi All!

I have a wedding party dilemma... I was once engaged to someone who then passed away 4 months before our wedding. As you can imagine my bridal party was already picked out, I had 5 girls on my side and one girl was going to stand my late fiancé's side as a grooms woman (she was good friends w both of us). Fast forward to 3 years later and I'm getting married again. And am still friends with all of my original BMs which makes 6 already "on the list" and I have 2 more to add now... One girl is the one who introduced me to my current fiancé (i was a BM for her as well) and the other is a girl i regret not having asked to be in my 1st wedding party. My current fiancé has 4 grooms men. I would love to have 4 but feel it is impossible to not to ask the original 6 (especially since I am still friends with all of them) and I just don't know about leaving the 2 new ones out!

Ideas?

Nothing says you have to have equal sides. If these 8 women are important to you and you'd like to have them, there's no reason you can't have all 8 of them standing with you.

If those 8 are your nearest and dearest, then ask them all! Sides don't need to be even. I had 6 BMs and H had 3 GM and everything worked out perfect!

Go with uneven sides. I'm pretty we will have uneven sides and it's totally fine.

Go with all 8. Speaking from experience ( i am 3 months away from my wedding) and our bridal party has changed 4 times. Between family dynamics and trying to keep it equal it has created a lot of stress. Now we are 5 maids and 4 men. - one of them who is his son. I was so paranoid with how things will look and the logistics of it but just go with who supports you, and will be there for you because that is the most important.

It won't matter how it will look because the pictures you will cherish will be mostly the ones of you and your man. 2 girls could escort one guy back down the aisle and you don't have to have a wedding party dance or a head table. Maybe consider a sweetheart table.

Uneven is fine and pictures can still look great! A good photographer can create balance. Below are some examples, (not the exact same numbers as you but gives you an idea!

I will agree 8 is a lot, but if you can't imagine NOT having all of them then don't! (Keep in mind teh additional costs of flowers and gifts)

It's YOUR decision. You are not obligated to ask the same people again, but if you are still close with all of them, then have a big uneven wedding party! I had a large wedding party at a small wedding which probably seemed silly to some, but it was important that each of my 6 picks were part of my day as a BM.
