My finance and I want to get married in NOLA. We are looking at Broussard's, where the ceremony and reception would be outdoors, or, the Hotel Mazarin - courtyard ceremony followed by reception in doors. Our wedding will be 60-70 people, and in early June. Will it be too hot to be outdoors for both? Is anyone familiar with either of these venues and could provide candid feedback? I have done a lot of research, and both look beautiful. Unfortunately with work travel and busy schedules, I don't have time to head down to check them out. Any insight is much appreciated!

You do not want to force your guests to have to stay outside for a summer ceremony and reception in New Orleans. June is hot and especially if you are not from New Orleans it will be unbearably hot for some guests. A short ceremony outside sounds nice. But I would look into indoor options for the reception. I would also try Deanies Seafood in the French Quarter The Masion Dupuy The Irish Cultural Museum

we are having our ceremony and reception at the Irish cultural museum next month. For June, an outdoor ceremony followed by indoor reception might be ideal. Though I frankly don't mind the heat, but running around all day in a dress....oof. You may appreciate the AC! I do know Irish cultural does ceremony only packages.

I walked by Hotel Mazarin this week and it looked lovely! It was too small for my group, otherwise I would have looked at it for our venue. I agree with the other Knotties - It's way too hot in June to have everything outdoors!

These are all venues I would have looked at had I had a smaller guest list. The Chicory is in the FQ near Harrah's and their food menu looks great. They just bought the building next door that has a rooftop which could work for an outdoor ceremony.

June in New Orleans is hot & humid, most out of town guests would probably be really uncomfortable (I have lived in new orleans my whole life and STILL hate to be outside for extended periods of time in the hotter months). I would go with the Hotel where your ceremony can be outdoors and the reception indoors, you can always run back outdoors and get photos with your hubby outside
