Need help deciding on Honeymoon!!

We are having a hard time deciding on a honeymoon location. Our budget is no more than $2200 for everything (hotel, airfare, food). We will be honeymooning in mid June 2015, 4 days/3 nights, and leaving from either Saginaw or Detroit, depending on times and prices of flights. The kicker? I HATE to drive, especially in high traffic areas, so we are looking for somewhere we can fly into, take a shuttle to our hotel, and be in walking distance to restaurants and activities. We definitely want somewhere with a beach. We were contemplating Myrtle Beach or a fun tourist town like it, but we need some other suggestions! Thanks so much!

If you hate driving and want a beach, I would suggest an all-inclusive like Sandals or Secrets in Jamaica or something.  They'll pick you up from the airport, and the great thing about those is that once you purchase the package, you know you don't have to spend any extra money (except for tips) since it's all-inclusive.  Have you looked at any of those?

Ohhh.....no, I didn't even think about it. I just assumed it was way out of our budget :)

I don;t think it would be out of your budget.  I would definitely look into them.  You might be able to get a really good deal!  FI and I are going to Jamaica for 6 nights/7 days at Sandals and we're paying less than double your budget (for double the time).  I'd definitely check it out!

@dcbride86 makes a great point. But Sandals is usually on the expensive end of all inclusives. There are so many in Cancun that are very comparable for less money. We stayed at the Gran Caribe Real in Cancun for 1 week for $2,100 (total for the 2 of us flying from Boston). It didn't include water sports like Sandals & Couples but we thought it was great!

Myrtle Beach is actually kind of pricey in the middle of June, I always go there the end of May for half the price.

You could look into San Diego or a short cruise out of FL.

Carnival Cruises offers some good deals in the Caribbean.  The price does not cover airfare, shore excursions, drinks, or $24 per day tips.  Advantages?  No driving.  The ship is air-conditioned.  Food is included, except for specialty restaurants that you don't really need.  Entertainment onboard is included, too. There are beaches at most stops which are usually free.   Here are some current prices:

Read my sticky at the top of this board about cruising if you haven't cruised before.

@jenna8984 is definitely right - Sandals is on the pricier end of all inclusives.  It's just where I'm going, and I couldn't think of a lot of other names.  However, there are a TON of all-inclusives all around beach towns!

We go to Playa Del Carmen yearly. Our last trip was $2000 for a week and that included the shuttle to and from the airport. We go to the Ocean Maya Royale. Its an H-10 property. AND adults only without being weird ;) you never have to spend another dime if you dont leave the resort.

Definitely an AI in Mexico or the Caribbean...but Sandals would be out of the budget.

Try Jamaica! My friend and her husband stayed at Sandals in Anitgua for about $2200 and I know that is more expensive than the Jamaica locations. There are also multiple other All Inclusives in Jamaica you can check out!  It is also one of the cheapest places to fly to, at least from the East Coast.  Good luck!!
